Violin & Viola Lessons
I teach from home near Alton, Hampshire but also occasionally travel to student's homes upon arrangement.
Lessons are either 30 minutes or an hour depending on age and experience.
Surrey & Hampshire
I have experience teaching all ages from 4 year olds up to adults and from absolute beginners to post Grade 8.
I teach the syllabus for both ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exams and also prepare students for music scholarship auditions, GCSE & A Level performances and higher music education.
Whilst I encourage some students to work toward an exam in order to give them a goal and a sense of achievement, by far the most important aspect of my lessons is encouraging the student to enjoy the instrument and to inspire a love of music and performance.
I am a member of the European String Teachers Association (ESTA).
Trial lessons available
If you are completely new to an instrument, and do not know what to expect, you can book a trial lesson. This is a 30 minute lesson with no obligation to continue.
If you enjoy the trial lesson you can book a block of ten lessons. Please contact me to arrange a trial lesson.
